So far my most epic learned lesson from starting this blog is this:
People want to help people.
For some reason I thought I was going to start this blog and be on my own for a 6+ months or even a year and then people would start to notice me.
I was so incredibly wrong.
There's all of these magical things that happen when you embrace what life is asking of you. Doors open, resources flow, and feedback comes just as you need it.
As an entrepreneur this is an epic, epic, epic lesson because it's teaching me that I can reach out to people and not only will they help me but they will want to help me.
As a person, this has taught me that people are my friends, tools, and gifts that when viewed accordingly can become these genies that can make all of my dreams come true.
Think about it this way. Have you ever been talking to anyone and they start saying how they need a job? What's the first thing that comes to your mind. "Hmm, do I know anywhere hiring right now?"
We have to expect that what we are willing to give we are going to receive. So when we willingly give to others in the forms of advice and connections we're going to receive all of that back.
It's the magical rule of karma.
So if you want to people to help you, you simply help others. This can mean anything. If you are a waitress and somebody asks for a water but you are just so, so busy that you can't get it-grab it anyway. If you hear somebody asking about a job you can point them in the right direction. If somebody is asking you about advice on travel or where to stay in your city, tell them exactly where to stay and what to do. Do anything you can to help people who are asking you for help.
Life will constantly give you opportunity to give. It's in our hands to choose to give or to flake on the opportunity.
This all comes down to the biggest picture of them all that what you perceive you receive. When you help someone it makes you feel positive about society and how it's running. It makes you know that there is good in the world because you are the good in the world.
It makes you only see the good and it tenfolds the amount of good that comes your way.
For anyone going into any business-you're going to inevitably need help whether it be in advice, connections/networking, or resources.
This is the mindset you have to have in order to succeed.
Give to others as best as you can to the absolute best of your ability and life will give to you.
Don't believe me? Try it for yourself.
