Book Of The Week

My Two Favorite Marketing Books of January 2017

I can't say enough for these two books.

As a newbie marketer and personal brand creator this is like the steroids of the marketing sport.

I'm not quite sure who bestowed all of this knowledge on Jules Marcoux but I know for a damn fact it can be used to market anything, at anytime, anywhere. I am SO happy I stumbled upon this wealth of knowledge.

Book Of The Week: The Space Within

I'm sticking to my Michael Neill trend and making this week's Book Of The Week The Space Within.

It's written just like The Inside Out Revolution but it dives deeper into something that Neill talks about in The Inside Out Revolution.

We didn't come out as babies with anxiety, stress, or self confidence issues. Our first words weren't "I'm not good enough."

These are learned habits. Somewhere down the line we taught ourselves to be anxious, stressed, judgmental, and negative. So if we can create these things that means we can get rid of them. They aren't permanent. Neuroplasticity tell us that our brains can and do change so we can (today, right here right now) start rewiring our brain to not have any of these negative emotions. We can essentially go back to the point where our minds are a tool only used for good and not evil. It's cool AF.

Book Of The Week: The Inside Out Revolution

Guys-if there is anything that you could take away from my blog it's this right here.

This is the premises of everything that I do and the way that I have chosen to live my life and it all comes down to this one insight, so perfectly worded and bound by Michael Neill.

It takes maximum two days to read and it's quick and to the point, which we sometimes need with all the hustle and bustle of our daily lives.

Book Of The Week: The Bingo Theory

When you establish peace, when you etablish love, when you establish kindness here [inside], you cannot act any other way to the outside world.
— Mimi Ikonn

I put this on my 3 books to read in your twenties book list because it.is.awesome. If you are feeling lost, distracted, or just having trouble making certain connections in your life (career, relationships, overall happiness) this book is for you. It's simple and to the point (which is exactly how I like my self development books) and it's also a quick read which means you can start applying what you've learned within a day or two.

I've talked about Mimi and Alex Ikonn in my post on lifestyle blogs and I suggest you get to know them if you are a passionate entrepreneur or just an overall passionate human. If you need that extra kick or understanding they can provide you insight from their own experiences in building a multimillion dollar company-it wouldn't make much sense to not listen to their advice.

The Bingo Theory encompasses the notion that we are all a balance of masculine and feminine strengths and when you understand your particular ratio of masculine to feminine you can SO much better understand why you act the way you do, why you like doing the things that you like doing, and why you have the types of relationships that you do.

It's extremely reflective but also provides you with direction-Mimi breaks it down for every ratio and tells you exactly what will make you happy in life, relationships, and your career.

It's like the ultimate life hack.

This isn't a paid sponsorship-this is my soul to your soul telling you that you if you are at all feeling unbalanced, confused, or lost this book will help you.

You can purchase The Bingo Theory off of Amazon here.

Book Of The Week: Neuromarketing

I read the first few pages of this book and IMMEDIATELY knew it was going to be my next book of the week.

This is the real deal marketing toolbox that us bloggers and freelancers need. It can help us to market our own brand AND ourselves as freelancers when creating proposals. I couldn't be more excited about it.

I love anything that brings actual brain science into marketing because that's what good marketing is-it's talking to the brain without actually saying "BUY THIS RIGHT NOW RIGHT HERE."

I'm excited to share this great find with all of you-let me know what you think in the comments below!

Book Of The Week: The Success Principles

Incredible success doesn't come to lazy people. It comes to people that work hard not just on the outside but on the inside as well.

What do I mean by that?

There's outside work that creates success, for example if you wanted to be a bodybuilder you would be doing a hell of a lot of outside work by working out in certain ways to seriously increase your muscle mass. If you want to be an entrepreneur you'll be networking, sitting on your computer for hours, and building your business as much as possible every single day.

That's not the only kind of work that we should be doing if we truly want success, NOT just financially but with actually being happy at the end of the day.

I'm creating a book of the week so that you can find books that speak to you specifically. These are all great books that will help you expand your mind as you expand your goals and dreams. Do the inside work so that you can reap some serious, SERIOUS benefits when your mindset and goals collide creating the reality of your actual dreams. BADASS.

This week's book is:

The Success Principles by Jack Canfield

He's one of the guys that created Chicken Noodle Soup For the Soul and has been nice enough to break down exactly how he pulled off becoming a multimillion dollar author for us.  Aside from being actionable, Canfield used his mind as a creation tool to bring the life that he wanted to him
